Bankruptcy Information Around the dinner table
Posted on March 21st, 2009 in Finance | No Comments »
Today’s family dinner was, to put it simply, interesting. I don’t think I have ever heard so much information about bankruptcy in my entire life! See, today my mother decided we were going to invite the whole extended family for dinner for no specific reason at all. That includes my two aunts, two uncles, and seven cousins. I attempted to escape by saying that I had soccer practice, but my mom saw Robby, who’s also on the soccer team, in the mall when she went there to look for some serving platters. So I was stuck with the family. I didn’t even think it was going to be so bad. I just thought it would be awkward because we don’t really know each other, so I didn’t think anyone would talk. Boy was I wrong! My uncle didn’t stop talking for a second! The problem was it was all bankruptcy information. Everyone at the table was falling asleep, besides for Jennie, who, for some weird reason, is fascinated by these kinds of things like bankruptcy information! So in any case, it was torture and now I’m upset that I just wasted two hours of my life listening to my uncle give over bankruptcy information, when I could have been doing something much more productive with my life like – attempting to do more skateboarding tricks!
